Alexander Borenstein, an award-winning film and TV composer with several animation and genre credits to his name, has agreed to compose and produce the music behind ICU’s TRUE NOIR Podcast series.

Award-winning film and TV composer, Alexander Borenstein, has agreed to compose and produce the music for the TRUE NOIR Podcasts, produced by Imagination Connoisseurs Unlimited, LLC (ICU). Mr. Borenstein, whose credits include TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY and LOST IN SPACE has already submitted a number of conceptual sketches to ICU Chief Creative Officer Robert Meyer Burnett, who is directing the series. “Alexander’s talent is on full display with this music,” says Mr. Burnett. “He’s managed to take the musical sounds of the 30s, update it just a little, and then add a touch of isolation and sadness we feel in the noir genre to create an amazing musical foundation for this series.” Mr. Borenstein’s primary challenge with the audio series is presented in the amount of music he’ll be producing – an estimated 8-10 hour blend of thematic and background score. A short video presents the initial “sketches” composed and produced by Mr. Borenstein as part of the project’s proof-of-concept work completed in late 2023.
